The UK’s military community has launched 500 new businesses with the support and guidance offered by X-Forces. Since its launch X-Forces has facilitated £5,307,275 in seed funding as an official partner of the government’s Start Up Loans Company. Each week X-Forces receives one hundred new registrations.
Tim Sawyer, CEO at The Start Up Loans Company, said: “We are delighted that X-Forces have reached their lending milestone of 500 businesses supported. Starting a business can provide ex-military personnel with meaningful second careers. We look forward to continuing to work closely with X-Forces in supporting this skilled community and growing this number.”
CEO and Founder of X-Forces, Ren Kapur, said: “It is so rewarding for us to be able help more and more of the capable and hard-working members of our Armed Forces community to realise their dreams. From longserving, decorated veterans to spouses that have made considerable sacrifices, male and female, they share an equally strong approach to business, with focus and drive that is seldom seen in civilians. These 500 first businesses are already contributing to the UK economy, providing employment and making opportunities, and we are very proud of the framework we’ve built to support them.”
The five hundredth business to launch produces an innovative range of children’s cutlery, run by an ex-RAF servicewoman whose service included providing air intelligence support to Special Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.
