The Ministry of Defence today announced the new winners of the Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Awards, its highest badge of honour for organisations which have signed the Armed Forces Covenant and demonstrated outstanding support for those who serve and have served.
We are delighted to have been recognised for our support of the Armed Forces community and are humbled to be in the company of this years award winners!
Defence Secretary Sir Michael Fallon said:
“These companies have shown the gold standard of commitment to supporting members of the Armed Forces, veterans, and their families. They have taken meaningful steps to ensure the Defence community are not disadvantaged by the sacrifice they make in helping keep this country safe. The actions of these employers make it crystal clear that regardless of size, location, or sector, employing people with military skills is good for business.”
Commenting on the new Gold status, Ren Kapur MBE, our CEO said:
“We are delighted that X-Forces has been recognised as one of a handful of organisations to receive the Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold Award this year. As an SME ourselves, we aim to encourage more small businesses to sign the Covenant and more big businesses to support small businesses from the Armed Forces in turn. Supporting the whole Armed Forces community is our primary focus, and we are so proud to have received this acknowledgement from the Ministry of Defence and the Secretary of State.”
Thank you to all of our supporters, partners and beneficiaries that took the time to nominate us for this award!
Amongst the thirty-three 2017 Gold award winners are X-Forces friends, supporters and partners: Airbus, Balfour Beatty, General Dynamics UK, Liverpool City Council, Metropolitan Police Service, Transport for London, Wiltshire Council and Wolferstans Solicitors.
