Spouses & Partners: In-Person Training is Back!

While virtual gatherings have undoubtedly been a lifeline over the past few years, and continue to offer benefits of accessibility and flexibility for business owners, there’s no denying that there’s a special energy and connection in seeing people face-to-face.

Initiated by the Enterprise For Life workshops at London Stock Exchange in February and April, we are thrilled to announce that our Tri-Service Spouses & Partners: 3-day Self-Employment Discovery Workshop, which connects like-minded partners of serving personnel that are considering self-employment, will have an in-person delivery option in July.

The comprehensive 3-day training course thoroughly explores the pros and cons of self-employment, including its implications for family and finances. Through interactive sessions, participants gain essential skills and insights into entrepreneurship, reinforcing knowledge on the legal aspects of trading, financial planning and cashflow, and competitor research and marketing.

XFE’s Head of Brand and Communications, Anna Oliver, explained the value of the XFE Spouse & Partner Programme:

“As a military spouse myself, self-employment allowed me to maintain and advance my career despite frequent relocations, deployments, and the demands of raising young children solo. The advantages of flexibility and autonomy are immense, but it’s crucial to enter this path fully informed. That’s where this course truly shines, equipping you with comprehensive knowledge whether you’re simply contemplating self-employment or poised to launch your own business. Plus, the opportunity to embark on this journey alongside like-minded individuals provides invaluable support and camaraderie.”

The next courses are scheduled for 12, 19 and 26 July, in-person in Tidworth, followed by an online version via Zoom on 6, 13 and 20 November. Generously supported by the Royal British Legion, these courses are accessible free of charge for spouses and partners of Armed Forces personnel, reservists and veterans.
