Liam Gretton, British Army veteran and self-employed estate agent as part of eXp UK, continues to go from strength to strength as the Wirral Peninsula’s only bespoke estate agent.
“After 8 years in the British Army serving on operations across the globe and on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen in Balmoral, I suffered an unexpected life changing injury which led to the end of my career. During my transition away from military life, over a good old cup of tea with a friend I found a passion for property and focused on building firm foundations for the future.”
Liam now has a fully established business, with a growing client base and interest each passing day. Over the past 12 months Liam has been a regular attendee at our Military in Business® Networking Events, supported by The Royal British Legion, with one running every week throughout 2021.
“The last 12 months has been challenging for everyone I’m sure, I’ve found that the XFE Military In Business® events have kept a community of like-minded people together, not only to share their services and products but also to connect and build relationships and support each other.”
As an established business owner, Liam is also a Business Captain on the XFE Knowledge Exchange Hub. Liam said,
“Here’s what I love about the Hub… Once upon a time, many business owners wouldn’t have really crossed paths in detail, we weren’t friends, we weren’t in the same peer group and, in many cases, ideas on some levels wouldn’t have been given the time of day.
“Now, as business owners we are all in the same peer group, we are building solid, long lasting relationships through connecting, sharing ideas and providing support to each other’s business. After becoming a Business Captain I was amazed by the people reaching out, asking questions and most importantly listening, there’s no rank, just a bunch of business owners with a common goal of wanting their business to succeed.”
X-Forces Enterprise Founder & CEO, Ren Kapur MBE, said:
“Liam’s story is a perfect example of the power of peer-to-peer learning and growing a strong network. Not only has our network of business owners and military entrepreneurs helped Liam and supported his journey over the last 12 months, he also reciprocates that support and knowledge exchange as part of his role as a Business Captain on the XFE Hub and I am so proud of Liam and others who totally embrace the virtuous circle of success. It is wonderful to see Liam’s self-employment journey go from strength to strength.”
