XFE Business Advisor honoured with National Award

British Business Bank hosted the Q4 Business Support Partner Forum on Friday 22nd March 2024, a vibrant event that not only celebrated collective achievements but also spotlighted success stories with the introduction of an awards ceremony, at which X-Forces Enterprise (XFE) was recognised.

This awards segment recognised the accomplishments of both start-up and growth businesses funded by Start Up Loans through Business Support Partners, while also acknowledging exceptional team members who have played a vital role in helping these businesses to start and grow. 9,500+ loans that were issued by British Business Bank in the financial year 2023/24.

As the appointed Armed Forces Community Business Support Partner for the government-backed Start Up Loans scheme, administered by the British Business Bank, XFE facilitates access to unsecured personal loans, supported by mentoring and training, to realise entrepreneurial ambition within the military family. A team of four advisors support and guide business owners from preparing a plan, forecasting cashflow, and through the finance application process, to ensure they are fully prepared to deploy the funds effectively.

One of just four recipients of recognition during this event was Akshat Garg, Senior Business Advisor at XFE, for his work with engineering firm Nivalis Tech to facilitate access to Start Up Loans funding. Awarded the title of the ‘2024 Start-Up Business of the Year’ – for the most creative, innovative, and ambitious new business to receive funding in 2023/24 – Nivalis Tech is led by Armed Forces veterans that have harnessed the power of ice in cleaning pipes, with revolutionary benefits to the manufacturing industry. The award was accompanied by a trophy, received by Martin Wing on behalf of XFE and Nivalis, and later presented to Akshat at the XFE offices.

In response to this accolade, Akshat Garg expressed his gratitude, stating: “This award is a testament to the passion and commitment we bring to the finance industry every day. It fuels my determination to continue making meaningful contributions and driving positive change.”

Martin Wing, Co-CEO of XFE, shared his pride, commenting: “Nivalis Tech is a superb example of the innovation and drive within the Armed Forces community, applying military skills and knowledge to create successful new businesses, and we are proud to have been able to unlock that potential through access to finance. Akshat’s dedication to nurturing start-up ventures is exemplary. He, along with our entire team, is deeply committed to fostering growth within the entrepreneurial community, and I’m delighted this has been recognised in this award from our valued partner, British Business Bank.”
