First Military Spouses in Enterprise workshop in Central London.
On Friday we hosted our first Military Spouses in Enterprise workshop in Central London. Supported by ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, these workshops are specifically tailored to support military partners that want to learn more about self-employment and how it can work around relocations and family. The day allowed everyone the chance to soundboard their business ideas and gain an insight into more detailed business planning with Sharda, our Business Support Manager (and national Business Advisor of the Year!).
The afternoon went into further detail with introductions to business finances, structures, risk mitigation and marketing.
X-Forces Business owner, Kerry-Ann, whose husband is serving in the Queen’s Royal Hussars also joined the group to tell them about her experiences, the challenges she has faced but more importantly the highlights of running her own business. Gabby’s World Dolls has given Kerry-Ann a fulfilling and exciting career that revolves around her daughter, and fits in around her life as an army wife.
